The pedigree of THE AGUILAR BLUMENFELD PROJECT with BARRY "THE FISH" MELTON reads like a "who's who" of West Coast psych blues running from the mid 60's to the present day.

DAVID AGUILAR has played guitar with Bo Diddley, Bonnie Raitt, John Lee Hooker, Big Brother & The Holding Company, Paul Butterfield, Jackson Browne, Santana, Grateful Dead's Robert Hunter, Norton Buffalo and many more.

ROY BLUMENFELD is the top New York drummer who founded The Blues Project with Al Kooper in 1965. After appearing at the 1967 Monterey Pop Festival, Roy formed Seatrain. In 2011 Roy was a founder member of The Former Members with original members of The Steve Miller Band, and Country Joe and The Fish. They played many festivals and gigs in the U.K before adding Sam Andrew, guitarist for Big Brother & The Holding Company, and Bex Marshall contributing vocals and guitar on their inaugural 2014 tour as San Francisco Nights. Sadly Sam Andrew died in 2015 and the band folded.

STEVE BROWNING was the bass player for another legendary San Francisco band, It's A Beautiful Day, and played with them at the Isle Of Wight Festival in 2011. In the `80's Steve was the bass player for the The Pretty Things, and later played with David Gilmour (Pink Floyd), Brendan O'Neill (Rory Gallagher Band), Dave Mattacks (Fairport Convention), Ronnie Spector (The Ronettes), and and is now with top blues band Teed Up - no strangers to The Bullfrog!

THE AGUILAR BLUMENFELD PROJECT are joined on this tour by BARRY "THE FISH" MELTON - the co-founder (together with Country Joe McDonald) of San Francisco's foremost psychedelic rock legends Country Joe and the Fish. Barry is acknowledged as one of the world's greatest psychedelic guitarists. He performed with Country Joe and the Fish throughout their illustrious career, including Monterey Pop Festival in 1967 and Woodstock Festival in 1969.

The icing on the cake is an opening set by TEED UP, and Steve Roux, Bernie Fox, Steve Browning and Ray Drury will be rocking up a storm!

Petit's blues guitar experience started at a young age in California and continued through addiction, alcoholism, homelessness, and subsequent recovery. He went from being a performer in the London Underground to giving masterclass University lectures on blues music whilst becoming a well-known stage act. Petit has released 5 albums, toured extensively around the United Kingdom and Europe, gaining critical recognition, sizeable sales and widespread radio airplay. His musical collaborators include Rolling Stones Ronnie Wood and Mick Taylor, Dr. John, Hubert Sumlin, Chris Barber, The Pretty Things’ Dick Taylor, The Black Keys’ Patrick Carney and Max Middleton. Petit's playing style, described by Classic Rock Magazine as containing "The fire of Freddie King, the instinct of Jimmy Page and the soul of Eric Clapton"[2] moved former Rolling Stone Mick Taylor to comment: "He’s got his own unique take on contemporary blues… I’ve heard him do a great live version of Freddie King’s "Have You Ever Loved a Woman?" It was wonderful. All his albums are very interesting, he deserves the recognition."[3]
