Just a short newsletter this month to let you know about some upcoming gigs.
*Apologies*
First off a quick apology to anyone who who tried to visit either the
Portsmouth Blues Site or the Barking Spider Site over the weekend. Our ISP
had a major hardware failure and lost all the websites (not just ours),
fortunatly they worked really hard over the weekend and mannaged to extract
all the data from the smoking hraddrive and restore everything by Sunday
evening. Few!

Broad.
Wednesday 26th November.
The Six Bells, Bramley Near Basingstoke
Andy Broad Acoustic and Electric Urban Blues
The first night of a new open mike club witha special guest spot from
myself.
Friday 28th November
The Venue, Spur Lane, Quarry Road, Chichester.
Steve Freund with Pete Lee And The Union supported by The Continentals
This is an extra special gig. Steve Freund is a top quality blues
guitarist, originaly based in Chicago and now working from San
Francisco. He plays straight forward Chicago blues guitar and has
worked with many of the greats. He was Sunnyland slims guitarist
for many years, giving him an excelent understanding of the art of
accompanying a blues pianist.
The support is from The Continentals featuring Andy Broad and Buster
Wingham on guitars. Tim Nowell and Russ Tarley provide the solid
rhythm section behind a varied mix of Chicago and Texas blues
styles.
Wednesday 3rd December.
The Woodman, Lower Upham, Near Bishops Waltham.
Andy Broad, Solo Electric Blues Guitar.
A Fuse Blowing blend of John Lee Hooker, Lightning Hopkins,
Robert Johnson and Electricity.
Saturday 20th December
The Square And Compass
Worth Matravers, Near Swanage.
Andy Broad, Acoustic and Electric Urban Blues.
I've heard nothing but reports about this venue, looking forward to my
first time there!
