As always every Tuesday night the jazz guitar duo will be playing their smooth blend of blues latin and bebop at the Kitsch n d'or on Eldon Street, Southsea. Admission is free if you want a drink at the bar but if you want to eat it's recomended to book a table in advance. There is a special priced menu at aproximatly £11.00 for three courses. (I can't rememember the edxact price off hand...) Check out http://www.kitschndor-restaurant.com for more details Saturday 3rd July - The Wheatsheaf Shedfield (That's Tonight!!!) The jazz duo played here for the first time a couple of weeks ago and received an enthusiastic response, so I'm looking forward to my first blues gig here. It agreat little pub, with ecellent ale so come along! Thursday 8th July - "Under The Knife" The Wedgewood Rooms Phil Jones And Andy Broad - Jazz Guitars. This is a benefit gig for breast cancer research, featuring arrange of acts. Phil and myself will be on stage at arround 9pm. Other acts include Ferral (Soulful psychedelic rock) Goffman (garage funk) and Batala (samba/reggae). Sunday 11th July - Lunchtime - The Cricketers, Petworth, Near Chichester. Friday 23rd July - The Neptune, Hove Andy Broad - Solo Acoustic and Electric Urban Blues. One of my favorite venues, always crowed with enthusiastic blues fans! Saturday 24th July - Afternoon - The Eastliegh Festival. Andy Broad - Solo Acoustic and Electric Urban Blues. I've been drafted in to entertain the crowds at the daytime market. Saturday 31st July - The R.M.A. Tavern, Eastney. Burnt Ice - Contemporary Blues with Jazz and Funk influences. This has long been our favorite gig, last time it was a packed house so get there early. (but too early or you'll beat the drummer to te gig). Looking forward to the oportunity to play full blown electric blues with the full lineup of the band. If you haven't seen us before expect an exciting blend of Robrt Cray, B.B. King and Albert Collins, with active bass and a driving, funky approach. Phew! Hope to see you at one (or all) of the above!
