JASON RINGENBERG (Jason & The Scorchers) at The R.M.A. Tavern in Southsea TOMORROW (Weds)

Don't forget that the one and only JASON RINGENBERG , front man of Jason & The Scorchers, is at The R.M.A. Tavern in Southsea on Wednesday evening! I'm coming over from my home in Ireland for THIS one!!!!!

Jason is one of the top artistes is the country rock sub-genre of Americana, and it's a rare treat to see this great artiste in the intimate surroundings of the Gun Room at The R.M.A. Tavern in Cromwell Rd., Southsea.
Jason moved to Nashville in 1981 & formed an acoustic country/punk band, whic later went all electric - - Jason and the Scorchers .The band disbanded in 1990 and Jason became a solo performer.
The Scorchers reunited in the mid 1990s but Jason did not give up his solo career, however, and recorded the acoustic masterpiece, "A Pocketful of Soul" in 2000 as well as the rollicking "All Over Creation" in 2002, which featured guest appearances by Steve Earle, Lambchop, The Wildhearts, BR549 and Tommy Womack, amongst many others - all great admirers of Jason's music.
While Gram Parsons may called the grandaddy of "alt country", it was Jason Ringenberg who brought the music to the stages of the world with a vengeance. Jason continues to be a very successful solo act and ha's toured the world three times in the 21st Century alone.
Don't miss this amazing artiste who appears at The Gun Room at The R.M.A. Tavern, Cromwell Rd., Southsea on Wedesday 10th August. Admission is just £5, support is by Dan Ogus, and doors open at 8 p.m.
