Stevie Ray Vaughan was without doubt one of the worlds' most influential electric blues guitarists. In 2003 - 13 years after his untimely death in an air crash - "Rolling Stone" magazine ranked Stevie Ray number 7 in their list of the 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time. Robin Bibi, one of the great British blues players, boasts a musical pedigree that includes Ben E. King, Jimmy Page, The Pretty Things, Robert Plant ….and even Helen Shapiro! Apart from his own impressive compositions, Robin is also known for reproducing accurate delivery of classics from the likes of Jimi Hendrix and early Fleetwood Mac. He’s now turned his attention to Stevie Ray Vaughan, something that no lesser guitarist would dream of attempting! Last years celebration of Stevie Ray’s music performed by the Robin Bibi Band was one of the highlights of a great year, and we’re glad that he’s bringing it back to the Bullfrog. An unmissable night! The Robin Bibi Band’s celebration of the music of Stevie Ray Vaughan is on Thursday 3rd March at The Bullfrog Blues Club at The N.B.E.C.S.A.
