SOUTHSEA FOLK ROOTS & BLUES DAY present a FOLK ROOTS EVENING starring JULIE FELIX on AUGUST BANK HOLIDAY SUNDAY (26 August) at The N.B.E.C.S.A Club, Onslow Rd., Southsea, PO5 2NH PO5 2NH Julie Felix was the first solo folk artist to be signed to a major British record company and the first British-basedfolk singer to fill The Royal Albert Hall, prompting ‘The Times’ to declare her “Britain's first lady of folk” . In 1969 Julie appeared at The Isle Of Wight Festival, together with Bob Dylan and a host of stars, and in 2011 Julie returned to play the Festival again - 42 years after her first appearance! No mean feat… Also appearing will be folk rock legend & guitar virtuoso P.J.
