STACEY EARLE & MARK STUART return to The R,M.A.!!!!

Nashville stars Stacey Earle and Mark Stuart make a much-anticipated return to the Portsmouth stage, on Thursday April 19th, when they play an intimate "up close and personal" concert in The Gun Room @ The RMA Tavern, Cromwell Road, Eastney, Portsmouth, PO4 9PN.

They last played the same venue in 2010, and the gig was hailed by many as their "gig of the year". An evening of pure musical magic. Clever acoustic guitar interplay, autobiographical songwriting, lovely harmonies - a night where the hairs truly did stand up on the back of your neck! The audience did not want it to end.

And now the couple, both veterans of Staceys' brothers band Steve Earle and the Dukes, will be bringing along some more wonderful new songs in the shape of a new album "Dedication", to add to their already impressive back catalogue where they draw from country, pop, blues, folk, rock and more in their heartfelt music.

"Steve Earle may be one of our finest musical exports, but his sister Stacey is sure gonna give him a run for his hard-ass Americana money."
(New York Times)

The evening of prime quality Americana is completed by the addition of fRoots magazine 2011 Album Of The Year winner, Naoimi Bedford, who will be joined by The Men They Couldn't Hang star Paul Simmonds.

Naomi's new album "Tales From The Weeping Willow" has garnered rave reviews throughout the British national music media, with BBC Radio 2's Mike Harding claiming "what a marvellous voice this girl has, what a cracker of an album."

Album contributors Justin Currie (Del Amitri) and Paul Heaton (The Beautiful South) have been early champions of Naomi, revealing a new major UK vocal talent previously undiscovered.

“You are on such a high at the end, that you instantly hit ‘PLAY’ again - several times."
