THIS THURSDAY (3rd April) at The Bullfrog - THE BEN POOLE BAND!

When top guitarists like Gary Moore says Ben Poole is "a really great
player" and Jeff Beck declares he's "f***in' amazing" you KNOW you're
going to be in for a great night at The Bullfrog Blues Club on Thursday
3rd April with the return of THE BEN POOLE BAND. If you were there at his
last Bullfrog gig, I'm sure you'll be back anyway!!!

The Bullfrog gig comes mid-way through the band's U.K. tour before they
continue to play in Holland and Germany later in the month. Ben's toured
all over Europe, and played many major festivals including Rhodes Rock
Festival in Greece, and a tour of North America.

Ben's debut album "Let's Go Upstairs" was produced by Grammy Award-winning
producer Ike Nosse, producer for Jeff Beck, Jack Bruce, Paul McCartney Tina
Turner, Robin Trower, Roger Daltrey., Maggie Bell and Def Leppard -
amongst others. The album was launched night at a sell ot gig at the
prestigious Half Moon in Putney. It features seven Ben Poole originals,
two co-writes with producer Ike Nosse, and 3 covers; including the Otis
Redding/Steve Cropper song `Mr. Pitiful" and the Ann Peebles original `I'm
Gonna Tear Your Playhouse Down". (Ann performed this song when she appeared
at The Bullfrog some years back, with The Deborah Bonham Band!).. Copies of
Ben's album will be on sale at the gig.

In 2011 Ben Poole was voted `Best Newcomer' by Blues Matters Magazine, and
nominated for two British Blues Awards. `Best Young Artist' and `Best
Original Song' (for the title track of his "Everything I Want" EP). Ben's
drummer Alan Taylor was also nominated - for `Best Drummer' award.
