The San Francisco Nights" 2014 UK tour coincides with the 47th Anniversary
of the 1967
Monterey International Pop Music Festival in California - the first ever
widely promoted and heavily attended rock festival. This tour features
members of no less than four bands who appeared there who will be
performing an exciting back catalogue of their classic songs.... and more!
       

SAM ANDREW (guitar/vocals) is a founder member of BIG BROTHER AND THE
HOLDING
COMPANY, the band that launched JANIS JOPLIN to fame in the dance halls of
San Francisco and at the Monterey Pop Festival in 1967. Sam is known for
his stunning guitar work which helped define the "San Francisco" sound as
some of the most dynamic music of the era.

DAVID BENNETT COHEN (keyboards/vocals) was an original member of COUNTRY JOE
& THE
FISH, another legendary band who played at Monterey. Best known for his
innovative keyboard playing, Davids also an accomplished guitarist and has
worked with countless musicians including Jimi Hendrix, Buddy Miles, John
Cippolina, Tim Hardin, Michael Bloomfield, The Blues Project and Mick
Taylor Band.

GREG DOUGLASS (guitar/vocals) played with THE STEVE MILLER BAND between
1976-81 and
is known as one of the most important Bay Area guitarists, playing and
recording with greats such as Van Morrison, John Cipollina, Hot Tuna,
Country Joe McDonald and many more.
   
BRUCE BARTHOL (bass/vocals) another original member of COUNTRY JOE & THE
FISH and FORMERLY FAT HARRY. For over three decades he was the resident
songwriter for the Tony Award winning San Francisco Mime Troupe. He has
performed or recorded with Pete Seeger, Ralph McTell, The Edgar Broughton
Band & many others.
   
ROY BLUMENFELD (drums/vocals) was the heartbeat for the THE BLUES PROJECT, a
group that sprang out of Greenwich Village NY in the mid 60s with its
cutting edge of mprovisational, classical, blues and jazz. Later on he
founded SEATRAIN with Andy Kulberg. Roys performed and recorded  with the
most illustrious soul, funk, blues and rock legends including Chuck Berry,
John Lee Hooker, Carlos Santana and Paul Butterfield.
     
DAVID, GREG, BRUCE and ROY have been performing and recording as the
supergroup
"THE FORMER MEMBERS". This will be the bands third European tour since their
formation in 2011.
