On Thursday 2nd October THE PRODUCERS are at The Bullfrog Blues Club in Southsea. Dave Saunders and Harry Skinner formed the band in 1990, and they soon became one the most popular blues outfit in the country, winning the ‘Blues Band of the Year’ award 4 times. They've released numerous acclaimed albums, including ‘Ain’t No Love in the World’, nominated for the ‘Best Blues Album’ award, and "London Blues" rated 8 out of 10 by "Blues in Britain", alongside albums by Chris Rea and Savoy Brown, and was also listed in their "Best of British Blues 2011" section. Concerned with feel and attitude rather than slavishly copying ‘hand me down’ American music, The Producers move effortlessly between their own well crafted material and seriously reinvigorated classics stamped with their own characteristic identity. They barnstorm across the country building a massive audience at sell-out club dates and have developed an impressive reputation.. The Producers have played many prestigious festival slots and they've headlined slots Colne, Burnley, Stanley Blues, Dublin Templebar, Cork, Farnham, North Wales Blues Festivals.
