SAM KELLY’S STATION HOUSE have been featuring on the U.K. music scene for many years.Originating from London’s “Station Tavern” in the early nineties, Station House was formed with the concept of an all-black blues band, mixing instinctive funk/soul rhythms with the diversity of the blues.

Founder members Sam Kelly, TJ Johnson and Dave Clark were joined by lead singer, RootJackson. The Band held a monthly residency at the Station Tavern for more than a decade, performing with artists such as Chaka Khan and Taka Boom. When the venue closed down, Sam Kelly took over the running of the band and, together with some changes in personnel, SAM KELLY’S STATION HOUSE evolved.

Fast forward to 2009 when Sam re-launched the Band boasting a new line up of SAM KELLY (drums/bvs), PAUL JOBSON (MD/keys/vocals), SPY AUSTIN (bass/vocals), TONY QUNTA (guitar/vocals) and JEROME MARCUS (percussion / backing vocals). This format continues to work at venues and festivals all over Europe and the UK.

The Band performed on the Soul Britannia All Stars tour with Madeline Bell, Hamish Stuart, Linda Lewis, Carol Grimes and Jimmy Lindsay.
SAM KELLY’S STATION HOUSE also formed the House Band for Paul Jones’ Charity Events at Cranleigh Arts Centre, performing with Paul Jones, Imelda May, Robben Ford, Chris Barber, Andy Fairweather Low and Mike Sanchez.

SAM KELLY’S STATION HOUSE is a “groove” band with dancing very much in mind. Their musical catalogue includes Johnny Guitar Watson, Keb Mo, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Marley, Gary Moore, Stevie Wonder, Little Feat, to name but a few. Their unique sound is influenced by New Orleans second line, soul, jazz, calypso, reggae and British funk. With three ‘lead’ singers supported by percussionist and internationally acclaimed drummer, the result is an eclectic fusion of music with its roots firmly based in the blues. Don't miss it!!!!!!!
