Dan Phelps & Matthew Fox - Bullfrog Blues Club - Thursday 3rd September 2015

TOMORROW- Thursday 3rd September at The Bullfrog Blues Club, at the The
Dockyard Club, Onslow Rd., Southsea.

Not one, but TWO superb top U.S blues guitarists and vocalists - Dan Phelps&
Matthew Fox
Dan Phelps is an Illinois native who has been performing acoustic blues for
over 25 years. Dan's played all over the U.S. the UK and Europe.

His CD releases have met with critical acclaim in US and British blues
magazines such as 'Blues Revue' and 'Blues and Rhythm' magazines. In
addition to packing small clubs as well as large theaters, Dan has shared
festival billing with the likes of Alvin Youngblood Hart, Woody Mann, Pat
Donohue, and many others.

Dan's last album has been shortlisted in the American "Bluesblast" magazine
for an award for top acoustic album of the year - Steve Earle is among the
nominations too!

"Phelps' following is justified... with a strong, percussive attack on steel
guitar and powerful vocals."
('Blues and Rhythm' magazine)

Matthew Fox is a guitarist and songwriter whose Georgia and Texas roots run
deep. He has steeped himself in a variety of styles from acoustic and
bottleneck blues to swing and his acclaimed originals are rooted in the
great Texas story-song tradition, Matthew has appeared on stages, radio
programs and at workshops throughout the US, United Kingdom and
Scandinavia, and is a proud endorser of Big Hollow Guitars, Diamond
Bottlenecks and Elixir Strings.

"Matthew is so facile with the guitar, with such an easy-going stage
presence, that you don't really care what his left and right hand are doing
and speaking as a guitarist watching another, you are only being carried
off to where he is taking you."
(John Bauman, 'Acoustic Guitar' magazine's "Guitar Talk" )
