After a brief period of homelessness, The Bullfrog Blues Club came back home to South Parade Pier in March 2009.
Since then we've brought you some superb bands from home and abroad - THE PRODUCERS (back together again!), GWYN ASHTON'S TWO MAN BLUES ARMY, GUY TORTORA, SINNERBOY, LIGHTNIN' WILLIE & THE POORBOYS, THE LARRY MILLER BAND, EDDIE MARTIN, KENT DUCHAINE, and THE MICK PINI BAND.
So how do we finish the year? Well....... we've got THE AYNSLEY LISTER BAND for our Xmas gig this Thursday 10th December!!!
We first brought you Aynsley Lister back in 2000, and indeed, his solo live album "Supakev & Pilchards" was recorded at The Bullfrog.
Since then it's been onwards and upwards for Aynsley. He recently finished a major tour supporting Lynyrd Skynyrd, where he went down a storm.
We're delighted Aynsley's back at The Bullfrog on South Parade Pier on Thursday 10th December - with his four piece band. This is going to be one hell of a gig, and a great way to finish of a brilliant year of superb blues at The Bullfrog.
Aynsley is is one of veryfew artists playing rocking blues with a modern edge -tangible,heartfelt, soul searching and full of fine songwriting; played withpassion and vitality. His hard hitting rhythms and guitar work arereminiscent of a young Clapton.
Since signing to RufRecords, Lister has recorded four solo studio albums, and two livealbums – one solo acoustic and one along with a live DVD for GermanysROCKPALAST TV show.
Aynsley has sold over 75,000 records and now headlinesmany of the major festivals throughout Europe where he has playedalongside blues legends such as Buddy Guy, John Mayall, and Robert Crayas well as big name mainstream artists including Bryan Adams and Fun Lovin’Criminals.
In September 2006 Aynsley's album‘Everything I Need’ was released Stateside in preparation for his U.S. debut tour.
